2008-02-28: 2/28 Meeting

The meeting this week was fun because we did a special team exercise in place of a speaker. Each of our members passed around a sheet with their name on it, and everyone wrote a positive statement about that person. Then, we had each one read a couple of the statements. You could see that we have a strong and supportive group of people in our chapter. The comments were awesome! It is that time again for choosing leaders for the next 6 month term. There are openings for 12 people in the leadership team which starts April 1. Anyone interested in being a leader should let Fran Bates know ASAP!

2008-02-21: 2/21/08 Meeting at County Line

This week we had an unexpected shift in meeting locations, so we met at the County Line on the Lake. Special thanks to Marvin Smith, who helped us arrange the meeting with one day's notice! It was a great meeting! We inducted James Tillinghast of White Stone Advisors into the group. Also, two people submitted their request for membership in our group: Monty Knight of ServPro, and Tina Nietzch Andy Jones of Small World Labs was the speaker today. Reminder: we will be meeting at Carrabbas next week.

2008-01-04: 1-4-08 Meeting News

This week we discussed the results of our Power Team breakout session two weeks ago. We formed a list of the top Most Needed business categories that would help our Power Teams grow. I emailed that out to everyone. This list will be our guiding force for building our chapter this year. To reinforce this goal, we are announcing a contest! Beginning Jan 4 and concluding February 8, the week of International Networking, the BNI Smart Set member who brings the most visitors will win a $25 gift card!!

2007-12-13: Updates from Meeting 12-13-07

Meeting today was a great one for referral results. In the last two weeks, we have passed over $70,000 in business to fellow members! Reminder that next week is our last meeting this month, and we are going to have a Power Team working session. Everyone has been tasked to meet up with their potential Power Team members and elect one person as the spokesperson before next Thursday, the 20th. On the 20th we are going to break out in teams and make a plan for improving each power team. Each team will give the Membership Committee a list of the plans they have for improving their team and what support they need from the MC. See you all on the 20th! Pam

2007-11-28: Power Teams Session This Thursday

At our meeting Thursday, November 29, 2007, we are going to have a brainstorming session on Power Teams. We are going to identify and name Power Teams and make sure we have everyone assigned to at least one team. From this session, we are going to come up with ideas for strengthening our teams and adding new members to round out some of the smaller power teams. Come prepared with your thinking caps on!

Due to scheduling conflicts at Carrabba's the 11/15 and 11/29 meetings will be held at Outback. there is no meeting on 11/22 Thanksgiving.

2007-11-01: November Goals and Chapter Update

In our 11/1/07 meeting, we announced our goals for the month of November.  I wanted to make sure we get the information out to everyone, since there were a few people out sick Thursday.  Here are the goals we all are tasked to meet:

3 new members by the end of November
3 visitors per week, representing the Top 10 or an industry not currently represented in our chapter
You can win a $5.00 Starbucks gift card by bringing a visitor that meets these requirements this month.  If your visitor joins by the end of December, you get a $25 gift card.  Rock N Roll!!!

1.5 referrals per person per week (35 a week)
100% attendance – subs are okay.  Let us know if you have to be out so we can help you find a sub
100% MSP for all members who haven’t attended (by end of January)
Also, mark your calendars for November 29.  We are going to do a brainstorm session on Power Teams and make sure we have everyone assigned to a team.

Our goals are meant to grow our chapter, which will mean more referrals and more money for all of us!!!!
